About Me
I am from the Greater Indianapolis area and have always been a computer enthusiast, programming since I was eight years old. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Purdue University, focusing my studies around computer architecture, operating systems engineering, and computer security. I interned at Navient Corporation working with the Configuration and Vulnerability team in information security. During high school I participated in FIRST Robotics Competition with Team 447, as a programmer working on robot control, vision systems, and autonomous operations. I also earned the rank of Star in the Scouts BSA.
My Hobbies
- Programming: I have always loved the challenges and thought processes that come with programming. I enjoy working on a variety of personal and open source projects using a broad range of languages.
- Software Defined Radio: I enjoy working with GNURadio and the RTL-SDR to receive and decode different radio signals.
- German: Since I lived in Switzerland around the first grade, German was the clear choice of language for me to study. I studied German starting in eighth grade and continuing throughout high school and college. I have taken several intermediate level (300 level) classes, including one that focuses on science and technology.
- Hiking: Over my many years in Scouts BSA, I developed a love of hiking in the wilderness and taking long walks.
- Video Games: Sometimes I need to do something less thought based, and then, I turn to video games.
